Founder & Owner
Thorsten Biehl is one of the most experienced fragrance and brand experts in the German-speaking world. With over 30 years of international experience in the fragrance, cosmetics, and consumer goods industry, he combines strategic marketing expertise, deep fragrance know-how, and entrepreneurial vision.
His career took him from Holzminden to New York, Mexico City, and back to Berlin. At Symrise (formerly Haarmann & Reimer), one of the world’s leading fragrance corporations, he held VP positions in Global Key Account Management and Marketing — including responsibility for the Colgate-Palmolive account with annual revenues exceeding €10 million.
In 2004, he founded biehl. parfumkunstwerke, an international niche fragrance brand present in over 20 countries. In 2012, he established Olfaktorische Welten UG as a professional contract manufacturing and fragrance development studio. In 2022, The Perfume Collective completed the portfolio — an innovative online perfumery with curated niche fragrances and discovery sets.
Thorsten Biehl is fluent in German, English, and Spanish and maintains an extensive international network of perfumers, fragrance suppliers, packaging manufacturers, and distributors worldwide.
